It is almost one month since the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center received the letter from the County trying to evict them from the building that the County does not own. And Mayor Levine Cava has not met with the Biscayne Nature Center Board or the Executive Director, Theodora Long.

What you need to know:

• Miami-Dade Public Schools owns the building by way of a 40-year ground lease that started clocking in 2001, not the County. Marjory's Biscayne Nature Center is the sublessee.
• What expired was a licensing agreement, not a lease. County is trying to confuse people to exploit the situation.
• County is misrepresenting their interest to the Public-School Board to interfere with their relationship and agreement with the Biscayne Nature Center.

What you can do:

• Miami-Dade County: call, email or text: Mayor Levine Cava and Parks Director Christina White
• Miami-Dade Public Schools: let them know County is not being honest: call, email or text Superintendent, Jose Dotres, and Chief of Staff, Jose Bueno, and Chief Administrator, Lourdes Diaz.
