Our beloved Buon Appetit have received a

STOP USE ORDER

Buon Appetit is a local family, small business that have captured the hearts of locals and visitors. The Italian food truck set up in the Denham Court area, on old Campbelltown rd. The BUON APPETIT food truck owned by Joe & Rose Carbone Vitagliano along with Ben and Mara hand make authentic Italian cuisine. They quit their full time jobs and took a risk on their food truck and now are at risk of being shut down.

Over 400 people line up every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights to enjoy the best Italian food made & served with love from the whole family.

As the council has deemed this “zone” a rural landscape but there is a retail exception on the land even though it's zoned as rural.

Buon Appetit has exploded in popularity so yes they had to buy another truck and extend the table area. Always complying with COVID protocols with encouraged alfresco dining.

Details of the notice:

The food and drink premises does not comply with Subdivision 27A Mobile food and drink outlets of the State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying
Development Codes) 2008 as:

There is more than one development (mobile food van) upon the premises

Tables chairs, a covered gazebo, shipping container and attached awning are being used in association with the food and drink premises.

Council shouldn’t be issuing compliance action while there is an undetermined DA in.

If you want the vibe to stay at Buon Appetit with the smiling faces of the staff and customers, please sign the petition. The temporary use of the land for these purposes provides significant social and economic benefits to the Liverpool Local Government Area and does not have any negative impacts. Further, the premises complies with all relevant health and safety requirements. The premises is an asset to the location and community and therefore this stop work order is unnecessary and is not in the public interest.
