We’ve almost reached 500 signatures - thank you!
Today, the Department of Transport and Main Roads said that no information is publicly available about the scheduled tree removals.
Committed locals have repeatedly requested more details - especially environmental guidelines, assessments, management plans, and impact reports - but with no success. Even the Minister for the Environment, Andrew Powell MP, stated in an email, “I don’t have access to the reports that you have requested.” We have applied for access to this information under the Right to Information Act, but time is running out.
With only six days until chainsaws and bulldozers are expected to arrive, we continue to lodge complaints, spread the word, and call for an immediate pause on this unnecessary and destructive work until genuine community consultation takes place.
