We, the undersigned, are asking the brewery to reconsider its decision and give our community the opportunity to save The Leicester Arms and keep it operating as a pub.

We welcome everyone, from babies and young families through to customers in their 80s and 90s.
❤️ WE ARE A LIFELINE FOR OUR OLDER GENERATION
We have older customers who regularly visit because it gives them somewhere to go, people to talk to and a community to belong to.
For some, a visit to The Leicester Arms may be one of their only opportunities for regular social contact.
Closing their local pub doesn't just take away a building — it can take away part of their support network.
❤️ WE BRING FAMILIES TOGETHER
We provide children's activities, seasonal events, quizzes, entertainment, sporting events and community occasions throughout the year.
❤️ WE HELP PEOPLE BEYOND OUR OWN COMMUNITY
The Leicester Arms and its customers raise money to support people experiencing homelessness.
Our small pub is proud to play its part in supporting the wider effort to tackle homelessness and help people who need it most.
WHAT ARE WE ASKING FOR?
We ask the brewery to:
PAUSE AND RECONSIDER THE SALE.
LISTEN TO THE COMMUNITY BEFORE MAKING AN IRREVERSIBLE DECISION.
EXPLORE EVERY POSSIBLE ALTERNATIVE TO CLOSURE.
GIVE THE COMMUNITY AN OPPORTUNITY TO HELP SECURE THE PUB'S FUTURE.
And if the brewery proceeds with a sale, we ask that every reasonable effort is made to sell The Leicester Arms as a going concern so that it can remain a pub and continue serving its community.
We also call upon our MP, local councillors and other representatives to support our campaign and help us explore every available option to protect The Leicester Arms as an important community facility.
