With the latest annoucement from Regina Public Schools that the IB Program will be permanently discontinued at Campbell Collegiate, the campaign to save the program continues! We strongly believe that the Regina Public School Board cannot judge the merit of the program based on dollars and cents. Over the past twenty-five years, Campbell's IB Program has gained a reputation nationally, with alumni having attended Ivy League schools and received Rhodes Scholarships. IB students at Campbell Collegiate consistently score above the world average — a true testament to the success of the program. Over the past six years, student enrolment has increased in recognition of the values that the IB Program shares with its students — in particular, the desire to become lifelong learners. The IB is undoubtedly the best enriched program we can offer to students who desire a high quality, challenging, and international education. By offering IB, students develop a skill set and understanding that allows them to not only become contributing members of the local community, but the global community as well. The Regina Public School Board establishes the same need for a sense of community in their mission statement (see http://www.rbe.sk.ca/school-board/mission). The IB Program is at the heart of our school and community, and we strongly believe that the program should continue to be offered at Campbell Collegiate. Please support our campaign by sharing this petition with your freinds, family, and neighbours to help save the IB Program at Campbell for the future generations to come.
