Right folks… I think it’s time we handed in this petition.

Nearly 15,000 of us – that’s got to mean something.

So I’ve written to Victoria asking if she’ll meet three of us.

No idea if she will or not… but either way, she’ll be making a statement.

Who knows — we might even get a coffee and a chat.

This is the letter I’m going to send.  I’ve made a wee video to go with it.  Check out my Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/np1957

PM me with anything you think might improve it.

Thank you for every signature, every share, every message you’ve sent.

The music matters.

The listeners matter.

Let’s keep at it.

Dear Victoria,

As you may know, I am leading a petition calling for the retention of the Iain Anderson Show in the BBC Scotland schedule. The petition has now gathered 14,791 signatures, along with thousands of heartfelt comments across multiple Facebook pages — including more than 200 on your own.

The Scottish music community has rarely been so united. This isn’t a ripple of disapproval; it is a tsunami.

The show has long been a vital platform for Scottish artists — offering national exposure, championing new and established talent, and bringing enormous pleasure to a devoted audience. We fully accept that schedules evolve, but this programme is unique in tone, reach, and cultural importance.

Given the strength of feeling and the scale of public support, we believe it is appropriate that I — along with a small delegation — meet with one or both of you to discuss the decision, its impact, and how the BBC intends to continue supporting Scottish musicians and their audiences.

To be meaningful, this meeting must take place before the show is taken off air. I appreciate how busy your schedules will be, but we would be grateful for a time in your diaries at the earliest opportunity.

I have copied the following………………., as the implications for the BBC’s reputation extend beyond Scotland given the show’s national and international listenership.

I look forward to your reply.
