A significant development today in our campaign to protect BBC Radio Scotland’s late-night music.

A leading Scottish musician has openly accused BBC bosses of acting “covertly” and using “sleight of hand” in how they’ve handled the shake-up of late-night programming.

Indie-folk artist Stephen McAll (Constant Follower) has voiced concerns that the BBC’s replies to MPs have been selective and do not reflect the full picture. Many of you have contacted me saying the same — that something feels missing, or carefully worded, in the BBC’s response.

Today, The Herald has published a major article highlighting these concerns. This is an important read, and we expect other outlets to follow.

As we move from petition stage into the action phase, we’ve now formed a small steering group to ensure we’re using every piece of information and support to best effect.

Change.org only allows one update every 23 hours, and this story is moving fast.
