Happy weekend everyone! We are so grateful for your support for saving this beautiful grand sand oak at Sol Legare. We will continue to keep everyone updated before the applicant who is seeking to remove the tree comes back to the Charleston County BZA in early April. We are hoping that the community's widespread support for this historic oak will change the applicant's mind about building new spec homes in this area down Richardson Road. Thankfully, Charleston County handles any request for the removal of a grand tree as a serious matter. We do not know if the applicant's site plan will change any before the April 6, 2026 BZA meeting--but we will keep you posted!
