Supporter Spotlight on Christie, “Tiki Kiliki” White

Christie, “Tiki Kiliki” White has literally given years of her life in dedication to the Mai-Kai and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Christie is the Co-Founder of The Hukilau and after Tim “Swanky” Glazner departed in 2005, was the sole owner and organizer until 2015.  Christie says, “My greatest achievement was giving the attendees of The Hukilau memories that would last a lifetime. The Mai-Kai is 100% of the reason people saved their pennies to travel to Fort Lauderdale every year.” and “There have been countless friendships forged, relationships that have blossomed and dreams experienced during my years of The Hukilau - that never would’ve happened without the Mai-Kai - it’s the common bond with everyone that visits. That’s why they must survive!” Christie continues, “The Mai-Kai family has been dedicated to the Tiki Community since The Hukilau began and the reach of their of legendary restaurant is worldwide.”

Today Christie still collects Tiki, enjoys Rum from her home base in Birmingham, Alabama with her husband Bill, dog Bubbles, cats Coco & Joe and is now the proud owner of Arcadia Salon! You can visit her new venture at arcadiabham.com
