The Riverside County Planning Commission will review General Plan Amendment 240039, which proposes removing 6 parcels (170+ acres) at Los Caballos Rd & Hwy 79 S from the equestrian district to build a gas station, food mart, car wash and a winery resort.

Other details:

-Changes will lead to increased traffic with no road or infrastructure upgrades planned.

-These parcels are part of the Wine Country Community Plan, created to prevent the kinds of projects this amendment proposes.

-Approval would set a precedent that threatens our community's long-term vision. We would not be able to revisit these changes until 2033!
