Good news to share!  The Office of the Inspector General for the City of Chicago took note of all our submissions to the request for an Audit of CACC and your voices were heard!

”The Office of Inspector General (OlG) extends its sincere appreciation to all who took the time to provide feedback on the proposed annual projects in our Audit and Program Review Draft Annual Plan and OIG Public Safety Section's Draft Annual Outlook. The responses received were diverse and thoughtful, reflecting a community deeply invested in the welfare and functioning of the City.

Planning our work each year is a prioritization exercise. The office typically launches an average of 20 projects in a year. There were 54 projects proposed within the two draft documents. That's why community feedback is so important—so that we can align project selections with what is most meaningful to Chicagoans. One notable area of interest highlighted by respondents was the Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS) service centers and their pivotal role in connecting sew community members to City services. Additionally, evaluation of Chicago Animal Care and Control drew attention.

Topics such as domestic violence services, facial recognition technology, and the use of drones surfaced prominently, aligning with a widespread interest in matters related to the Chicago Police Department (CPD) and public safety.”

Now we wait to hear if an Audit of CACC is confirmed!  Thank you ALL!  We made NOISE and we did it together!
