HENRY was killed because this sweet, gentle good boy wouldn’t go back in his cage after two months of confinement. As with the others, he dreaded being incarcerated 24/7 in his cage and only going out every 3-4 days for 15 minutes. So the last time they tried to put him inside the cage after his fifteen minutes of confined freedom, he put the brakes on. When they tried to pull him in he grabbed the handler’s arm and went straight to the “euthanasia room.” CHICAGO ACC DROVE HIM INSANE AND THEN KILLED HIM. This has been the pattern for the thousands of deaths in 2023.

Our goal: To mail as many postcards as possible to the Mayor’s office so that they arrive on VALENTINE’s DAY, FEBRUARY 14, and overflow on his assistant’s desk.

Who can do this? Anyone and everyone! YOU DON’T NEED TO LIVE IN CHICAGO!
How do we do it?
-Buy or make 4x6 postcards for mailing.
- Write the address for the Mayor’s Office on the right side
- Write a short message on the left side
- Draw a colorful picture on the back, or write a longer message, or download a photo of one of the dogs that have died this year and affix it to the postcard.
- Put a stamp on it and mail it to arrive by February 14, or as close to that date as possible!
What are some of the shorter statements you can make?
- CACC needs NEW leadership
-CACC operations have to be audited
-We need transparency. Ask for a kinder Chicago!
- Chicago voters love dogs - stop killing them
-Chicago loves its animals
-Chicago ACC NEEDS TO stop murdering dogs

-I will never visit Chicago until the worth and goodness of the homeless animals are recognized.

A longer comment : Maybe educate about Pitbulls, ways Pit Bulls and mixes are working for programs such as : MIDNIGHT CIRCUS IN THE PARK, CHICAGO BOYZ ACROBATIC TEAM and CANINES FOR KINDNESS.
Ways these Pittie mixes could be utilized: police dogs, therapy dogs, animal support dogs. Companion animals give people meaning in their lives, teach children kindness.

-or download photos of dogs who were killed on your photos, print them and glue to the back of the post card.
