UPDATE: So CACC is now in the business of killing puppies. Even more despicable is that they lie and kill puppies who had Rescue interest.  Chestnut had a Rescue who had requested a “HOLD” on January 31.  CACC stalled them and said he wasn’t dog friendly.  They said he would need a special foster because he was mouthy and was biting his leash. A six month old puppy.  They said they would get back to the Rescue, but they never did.  Meanwhile, a leash test video revealed that he did well with another dog.  Finally on February 5 the Rescue emailed CACC and asked if Chestnut was still available.  They responded that he was not.  In fact, he was killed on February 4 and the Rescue learned through Social Media.  He was killed for “severe behavior,” “Behavior Untreatable.” A six month old puppy.

They lie, hide and are shameless.  And then CACC killed another puppy: Breakdance, a Husky.  They tried to prevent an experienced family from adopting another puppy, Goldie.  They prevented another potential adopter from meeting another puppy, Flipper, because they said he was biting.  Puppies.

And these are the people who evaluate the dogs at CACC.  In the last week they killed Yuki-Onna, Marisol, Bindi and Huncho… and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

We will be holding a silent protest across the street from City Hall on Wednesday, MARCH 27 at 12 pm.  People are taking off of work and coming from Wisconsin, Indiana, all parts of Illinois and of course, Chicago and suburbs.
