The new LCC building will not house a Students’ Union bar or for that matter - any student-run community space. With decisions around space being taken without student input, there are little to no community or non-academic spaces on campus.

The Darkroom Bar has been a cornerstone of community for students and staff across UAL.

• We employ students as bar staff
• We provide spaces for academic purposes (independent study and space for shoots/projects)
• We provide spaces for student clubs and societies
• And we provide spaces for recreation purposes for students AND staff

And now, it will cease to exist. Now is the time to lend your voice/presence/feedback to senior staff at UAL.

They fail to see what community looks like.
