Beginning in the Fall 2025 semester, The George Washington University's beloved D.C. Taco House, located in the District House dining location, stopped offering the popular Quesadilla Meal Deal. This Meal Deal was a student favorite, and its elimination greatly diminishes the student dining experience.

Meal Deals allow students to use a Meal Swipe, instead of Dining Dollars or money, to purchase food. They are a vital tool in combatting food insecurity on campus, and removing such a popular Meal Deal offer hurts the quality and accessibility of Meal Plans.

One simply has to visit D.C. Taco House to see the tragic effect this war on quesadillas has had. As an avid D.C. Taco House connoisseur, I am saddened to see many of my peers sullen faces when they hear the quesadilla is no longer a meal deal.
