On 29th july 2025 the cleveland arms, willenhall road wolverhampton will be closing its doors for the last time. The brewery are turning it into a toby carvery. The cleve is the last great pub in our community. Its a place where friends gather to watch all the major sports tournaments, weekly football, have a meal and socialise in a safe, friendly environment. People gather there for all the major sporting events, christmas and new years eve. Not forgetting the £90,000 that has been  raised for charity by will over the years. They have 2 darts teams that will have to find somewhere else to run from. It is the hub of our community. Over the years all the local pubs have closed down. There used to be at least 10 pubs from the neachells to horseley fields, there are now 5 and now the last decent pub is going. The brewery have done this without asking any opinions from customers, staff or even mike, helen and will. It is a family run pub. The brewery will put a new faceless manager in who has no love for the pub or the loyal customers that have used it week in week out. Do we really need a toby carvery in our area? 

I am asking for signatures to save this wonderful pub that has been in the heart of our community for 100 years. Its within walking distance for everyone on eastpark, eastfield and deansfield areas. Why should it be taken away without a backward glance when it will effect so many peoples lives.
