As the petition starter, all I want to see is (at minimum) a Vossloh Kiepe traction motor, a Westinghouse compressor or something as part of the fleet, with a driving cab from one of these trains being a bonus.
This image was taken today from one of the new "Arterio" trains going past Wimbledon Traincare Depot.
The last route to use Class 455 timetabled services (the Waterloo to Dorking route), now uses Class 450 'Desiro' trains (which are intended for longer distance travel, like their counterpart the Class 444s).
These trains are not particularly new either, in fact they are about halfway through their operational lives having come into to service around 2004/5. The Class 707 trains which have now been transferred to Southeastern trains, would have been a better rolling stock option with their walk-through carriages (like the new Arterio trains).
