Correspondence from the general manager…
Robert Love | General Manager
Dear Kim,
I’m writing to share an update about our programming at the club. Specifically, beginning in mid-October, we will be converting our basketball courts and rock wall into six permanent pickleball courts. This decision results from member feedback and the rapidly growing demand for pickleball – the fastest growing sport in the nation. Once completed, we’ll be providing many more ways to participate in this fun and engaging sport, including open play, mixers, clinics, leagues and lessons for all ages and skill levels.
With this change, our programming at Centreville will shift away from basketball, rock wall, kids summer camp and birthday parties; however, the remainder of our kids programming will not be affected. I understand this may be disappointing news for those who regularly use the basketball or rock wall amenities and want to reinforce that this decision was made with considerable thought. Ultimately, we believe the transition to pickleball will best address current member demand.
Please know that our other area locations continue to offer these displaced services, as follows:
Life Time Ashburn-Sterling — rock wall, kids summer camp
Life Time Reston — basketball courts, rock wall, kids summer camp
Life Time Gainesville — basketball courts, kids summer camp
If you would like to discuss access to any of these clubs, I invite you to speak with a member of our concierge team who will be happy to assist.
As always, I welcome your questions and thank you for choosing to be a Life Time member. It is our pleasure to serve you.
In health,
Robert Love | General Manager
