From the  8th October 2022, 178 Bus Service will be stopped by First Bus. This will mean the villages of High Littleton, Farmborough, Timsbury & Marksbury will not have a regular connection to Bristol and Bath. 

This will prevent school children to get to schools in Keynsham & Midsomer Norton. It will also limit people's independence in getting to shops and doctors.

The Mayor has said there is funding but it's down to a lack of bus drivers. First are introducing a new service, the 379, connecting Bath to Bristol via Temple Cloud & Pensford who already have an half hourly service, the 376.

Why can't the resources from the 379 be used to connect these villages with a service from Bath to Keynsham where commuters can then get a connecting bus to Bristol.

This would give these communities a lifeline.
