Unfortunately, our teacher Señora Scalzo may have to leave our school. This means that there would be no 7th grade Spanish and everyone in that class would have to move into a new elective. However, we don't want that since we picked Spanish. Then, the next year, if we moved into 8th grade Spanish,  we would be behind and not understand our learning standards so it would be very hard to pass and get the high school credit we are working hard for. On the other hand, if we continue Spanish, we can also do it in high school and be fluent in it. Knowing the Spanish language is a very valuable skill that we can carry throughout our life. It helps expand job opportunities and increases our chance of getting the job. Also, we can meet so many more people through the Spanish culture. We can teach our peers the language and Spanish can help you learn other Latin languages. Spanish is the second most commonly spoken language which is incredible and very crucial to learn. Overall, being bilingual is an amazing trait! 

Also, Señora Scalzo plays a very important role into us thinking of making this petition. She is such an amazing teacher and supports anyone and everyone. Señora Scalzo helps you out no matter what. We look forward to her class and everyday and that's why we like school. She also is very understanding and if we are confused, she takes time to ensure you understand the topic immediately. Señora Scalzo is the kindest teacher in the world, and never fails to make us laugh. Another thing is she takes our safety first. If there was a lockdown ever, we hope we are in her room because we know we will be safe and okay there. We feel most comfortable there and we can be ourselves. Living without Señora Scalzo getting to teach us everyday and cheer us up when we need it would be devastating. So please, please sign this petition so we can be happy again and save her from having to leave!
