Thank you to everyone who showed up and made the We LOVE Sailor Bar Peaceful Protest a huge success!  Our attendee counter said there were over 300 people.  Lots of horses and dogs too!  Check out the media coverage on the internet.  Reports and camera crew from Channels 3, 13 and 10 were there.

The spokes person for the County said that they completed an Environmental Impact Report.  The report was completed approximately 20 years ago.  A subsequent E.I.R. Addendum was completed in November, 2024.  The E.I.R. Addendum claims that, categorically  there was no significant changes since the EIR was completed (aprox 20 years ago).  Based upon a report from Friends of Sailor Bar attorney, Matthew Emrick, the Addendum does not comply with CEQA.  If you would like a copy of the report, email ProtectSailorBar@yahoo.com

The County moved THE PARKS COMMISSIONER HEARING has to 700 H Street, Sacramento.  The date/time is still Thursday, February 27th at 6:30.  Please join the protest at 6:00.  Bring your signs!  Wear your Friends of Sailor Bar or Protest Hat!  We expect media coverage at this hearing.  Please don't let the change of location deter you from showing up.  

Again, THANK YOU for coming to the peaceful protest, for bringing your dogs, and horses, children, signs, drum and smiles.  It was a wonderfully pawsitive and hoofy event.
