Thanks to yet another anonymous donation, our Legal Counsel fund is now at $40,357! THANK YOU! Wouldn't it be great if the County would agree that it makes sense to keep public motor vehicle traffic out of Sailor Bar? Funds could then be used for accessible nature trails instead of Legal Counsel. Two more community leaders are speaking out to protect Sailor Bar!
The California Council of the Blind see the need for keeping the interior roads at Sailor Bar closed to vehicular traffic, and the value of accessible nature trails! The letter of support from Regina Brink, President of ACB Capital Chapter of the California Council of the Blind will soon be posted on the Protect Sailor Bar Facebook Page. We share a common vision to protect Sailor Bar by keeping public motor vehicles off the equestrian/hiking trails, and make the American River parkway accessible for everyone. As Regina eloquently states, we are offering the County "a wonderful opportunity to work together with the grass roots organizations of the disabled and community as a whole to bring more people to Sailor Bar by the inclusion of people who would otherwise not be able to maneuver the trails. Everyone benefits without harm to the wildlife, and environment."
The Back Country Horsemen gallop to the "Front Country" to offer support for Sailor Bar. Thank you to Troy Patton, Back Country Horsemen of California, Vice President Public Lands and Randy Hackbarth, Back Country Horsemen of California, Mother Lode Unit President for your beautiful letter of support for keeping vehicular traffic out of the interior of Sailor Bar, thus protecting the integrity of the American River parkway corridor as defined in the American River Parkway Plan's goals to "protect habitat while allowing gentle use recreation along the parkway". Their letter will soon be posted on the Protect Sailor Bar Facebook page.
