Thank you all for signing, I have been made aware of the petition being felt as generic, misleading, etc. This is here to make people aware of potential changes to what we all love and want to continue to see around the UK, ok, so some facilities are being withdrawn, I understand that they may not be important to some people but to others they are a vital part of their lives and social life whilst being able to support and see wildlife and make new connections. Our local Rye Meads is under threat of “new management” Who would be in charge of managing the site? Would you be prepared to see it open 24/7 to all and sundry, would you like to watch birds, mammals, etc scared by people who don’t really appreciate the area but just want somewhere to congregate, lets dogs run free without any care for what they are scaring (I am a dog lover!) Cyclists tearing through as a cut through to local areas because it would make a good mountain bike trail? I for one do not want this! I want to find a solution, I want everyone to join forces and find a way to support the RSPB to keep the reserve and how we can achieve this ! What can we do to save what we all live and enjoy? Who has the funds to take this on when so many wildlife trusts are struggling ? Thames water is in dire straits so they wouldn’t want it ! Why should we just sit back and let it happen?
