• Tourist safety is no longer guaranteed
Cows and street dogs are being injured and killed

• Constant honking and traffic noise destroy the atmosphere

• Dust and pollution are rising to unhealthy levels

• The area feels tense, chaotic, and unsafe

• Drug dealing is emerging

• Drunken behavior, shouting, and fights are becoming common
This is not what Rishikesh is meant to be.

Rishikesh is not a party place.

It is a place of devotion.

This is not only about tourists.
It concerns everyone — local residents, shop owners, Indian visitors, and all who care about this place.
Many locals are deeply saddened to see their Rishikesh changing this way.
India is known for its hospitality and spirit.
But without action, both safety and the soul of Rishikesh are at risk.
WE DEMAND IMMEDIATE ACTION
• Restrict or ban jeeps and taxis in Lakshman Jhula center (from the bridge to the police station)

• Make this area pedestrian-first and safe
Enforce strict no-honking and speed limits

• Act firmly against drugs and illegal activities

• Control public intoxication and violent behavior

• Protect animals, residents, and the environment

• Restore safety, dignity, and peace
