Please join us in delivering the Petition!
Dear supporters,
The big day is finally near. On Wednesday 23 September, we will be delivering the Petition and the more than 8500 signatures to Premier Ben Carroll's electoral office in Niddrie (Melbourne)
We will also be handing over 2 complete copies of the petition and the 8500 signatures, addressed to Ministers Sonya Kilkenny (Planning) and Jaclyn Symes (Environment). At the handover we will be joined by representatives of Environment Victoria, Friends of the Earth, the Australian Conservation Foundation and Sustainability Geelong, and Renewables not gas Geelong. Representatives of Mooney Valley Sustainability will also be present. Mooney Valley Sustainability is an environmental group actually based in Premier Carroll’s electorate.
So if you live anywhere within a reasonable distance of the Premier’s office, please join us and add to our presence at the hand-over. In addition to the actual hand over, you can be part of a friendly community photo- op, to mark the moment we hand-over our Save Port Phillip Bay from Toxic Discharges Petition to the Premier or his representative. We know this is a big ask, but politicians are sensitive to numbers of people, more than to pieces of paper. If you can, please bring a sign and/or your group's t-shirt and/or banner to show your support.
