In a surprising turn of events, the National Green Tribunal, took suo-moto cognisance of the law violations around Pattandur Agrahara Lake.  State Govt bodies have been issued notices. The Principal bench of NGT observed that the violation raises substantial issues relating to compliance with environmental norms!

We had considered going to NGT many times, however this has come as a God Sent?! How does it get any better than this?  We thank 'The New Indian Express' newspaper, whose consistent reporting on the issue got the NGT to notice!

The case has been transferred to the Southern Zone Bench.  Hearings have begun.  The next hearing is in August.
