It’s been a few days since and we are still pinching ourselves to convince ourselves it is real.   After years of pressuring the BBMP Lake Dept, and their requisitioning of funds as a result, the Govt has finally sanctioned 1 Cr for fencing and protecting an endangered lake in Bengaluru - all because we, the common people, appealed!  This is so rare, it is a big deal.

We hope the fencing is carried out promptly and the vandalisation that the lake has undergone for decades finally comes to an end. 

We must celebrate but not stop campaigning until we save this critical source of water.  While pumping funds into a lake conservation project is a brilliant first step, the implementation is pivotal and for this additional public pressure is needed.  

Please get more and more people to sign the petition!  Your support will see that the authorities immediately begins the fencing work, remove encroachments, and protect our lake from illegal dumping.
