Principal Wayne Culley alongside administration is planning on gutting the Visual Arts program at West High School. Many students come to west for their highly developed program. Not only is art a vital element to a rounded education our art program is District wide recognized as being academically strong. 

This year and like many years prior we dominated the District art show taking home 10 of the 13 awards given at the show. As well as taking many awards at the Utah State art show, Springville.  

Currently the Painting and Drawing classes will be cut, the students who wish to take that class would have to wait months on a waitlist to even enter the class.
The intermediate classes are being cut. Which removes the ability to continue developing technical skills of our students.

If we let these classes go Administration will continue to take away our art classes.
