The Issue

Imagine being motivated to contribute and excitedly joining a club, only to find there's no dedicated space to gather with fellow members. That's the reality my fellow club members and I are facing at SAIT. Our club has lost its room, a place that was vital for conducting meetings, fostering creativity, and building strong interpersonal relationships. Without it, our efforts to keep the club active are hindered.

Our club room was more than just a space with four walls. It was a haven where ideas blossomed, agendas were set, and contributions to the school community were born. The sudden removal of our designated club room has left us scrambling to find alternatives, which are often inadequate in terms of space and resources. Temporary arrangements lack the consistency and reliability that a permanent club room provided, affecting our club's productivity and engagement.

Reinstating our club room is not just about providing us with a physical space; it's about recognizing the significance of student clubs in fostering a nurturing and dynamic environment at SAIT. Clubs play a crucial role in developing students' skills, enhancing collaboration, and promoting a sense of belonging. Without a dedicated room, our club’s ability to contribute positively to the school community is severely restricted.

We request the school administration to acknowledge the value our club brings and reinstate our club room. This change doesn’t only support our club; it enhances the overall culture of the school by encouraging student-led initiatives, innovation, and community spirit.

By signing this petition, you are not just helping us reclaim a room; you are supporting student empowerment and the growth of a vibrant school community. Please join us in championing this cause by signing and sharing this petition widely. Your support is invaluable in helping us acquire the space that allows our club to thrive and inspire future generations of students.
