Save Our Skies Santa Cruz and Minneapolis Saint Paul Fair Skies have created #NoFlyDay to elevate NextGen’s abysmal noise record from a local topic to a national conversation. Both our organizations are working collaboratively with the FAA to address local issues, but it is clear that without national pressure to change the fundamental ways in which the FAA works and measures noise, we will not be able to fully achieve our goals or protect other communities from a similar nightmare. Each time someone signs the NoFlyDay pledge, 67 key FAA and Congressional decision-makers are automatically emailed. If every person who filed a noise complaint throughout the country also pledged to not fly on October 24th the stakeholders would hear from hundreds of thousands of you.
