Save Our Nintendo Switch 2: Don't Let Tariffs Ruin Our Fun
The Issue
As lifelong Nintendo fans, we’ve been counting down the days until we could finally pre-order the Switch 2. But now, due to newly announced tariffs, Nintendo has been forced to delay U.S. pre-orders, leaving countless gamers in limbo and putting our access to joy and community at risk.
This isn’t just about a game console.
For many of us, gaming is how we stay connected with friends and family, especially in tough times. It's how we unwind after long days, how we express creativity, and how we escape when the world gets overwhelming.
We need that now more than ever.
The 24% tariff imposed on Japanese exports is already hitting consumers hard, and now it's threatening something millions of us look forward to. Nintendo is trying to figure out how to respond to these sudden changes, but we don’t want higher prices, reduced supply, or to be left behind while other countries move forward with their pre-orders.
We urge Nintendo to find a way to open U.S. pre-orders as originally planned—or as close to it as possible—and to be transparent with fans about how they’re handling the tariff impact.
Sign to keep fun affordable, fair, and free from the fallout of political games.
