Recently, notices were put up in Tottenham Cemetery stating that items on our loved ones graves would need to be removed (by 31.10.23) in order for grass seeds to be laid. Also, that after this work is carried out, we are not to replace the items we have removed (including fences, windmills, teddies etc). And are limited to placing only 1 ornament or small figure in future. Failure to remove the items ourselves will result in them being removed for us.  

As you can imagine, losing a loved one is a difficult enough process without having to have these added stresses. 

 

We are happy to remove the items temporarily, in order for the work to be carried out. However we feel we should be able to put the items back on their full graves and that we should be limited to the plot size, rather than just the head stone size. 

Please keep sharing and getting as many people to share and sign as possible. 

The parliament petition is currently in the process of being checked to ensure it meets standards.

The change.org petition is still active and will be presented to the local MP in order to support the opposal of the future changes.
