• Please help us by signing this petition, Lewisham council/homes want to take away our greenerys and carparks and build new flats all over it. We are contesting this for the following reasons:
• Our greenerys are our communal gardens, Wildlife will be effected. 
• It's going to block the sunlight out if new buildings are built all around, making it dark and dull, not good for our mental wellbeing. 
• Privacy taken away, no view, apart from view of other people's flats. Chopping down the beautiful trees.. 
• Carpark taken away, no parking will be available. Limited parking as it is, due to living right opposite a school. Going to cause congestion & pollution. 
• Effect families with there mental health, anxiety and ongoing difficulties.
• Effect families with children with disabilities. The greenery is easier for daily exercise than getting to the park. Kids with ADHD who needs the Greenery for easy access to run around rather than a trip to the park.
• So many reasons to list..... 

Whilst they are planning on building these flats on and around our greenery, Alot of us who have lived in these flats for many many years, which have been up since the 60s or even before the 60s, have been suffering with condensation, water leaks, tap issues, mould and damp, and mice infestation. When we have complained to Lewisham homes, nothing gets done about it. Even up till now, many tenants are suffering with mould and damp. So to have new build flats built right on our door step is a slap in the face!!! These flats will be provided with roof top gardens whilst our communal gardens are taken from us. They have already started building one out of the five, right off Mayow Road, which has caused major issues already for existing residents of Heathwood Point. Causing cracks within some of the residents property's (due to the pressure of the works) which shows just how old our buildings are... That's how close they are being built causing shaking of the building, heavy dust, there are Hazardous Fire and Health & Safety concerns, the list goes on. We understand there are shortage of homes and people need rehousing however there is plenty of land around which can be used, I. E, the gym out in Sydenham which was just built, that was not needed as we have a gym already not even a mile away, why couldn't that off been used as a space?, just saying. Lewisham say they have done a door 2 door knock to us existing residents which is not true. They didn't even notify Forest Hill School.
