REGULATED BEER IN SOUTH AFRICA SHOULD BE ALLOWED DURING THE LOCKDOWN EXTENSION.

As seen in China, Mexico, Brazil, South Korea, US, UK and Argentina amongst other countries, there are many safe ways to permit the responsible sale and distribution of beer while supporting the fight against Covid-19. 

The beer industry supports millions of people and their families, like waiters, operators, truck drivers, farmers, bars, restaurants, and tavern entrepreneurs who all want to be part of the solution. 

We want the authorities to consider options that will allow us to protect the wellbeing of our families and consumers while combating the spread of Covid-19.

The industry is committed to ensuring that traders exercise safety practices across their operations, adhere to restricted trading hours, and sell limited quantities.
