We, the undersigned, urge the City of Los Angeles and Mayor Karen Bass to fully fund and protect our vital animal shelters — West Valley, West LA, and Harbor.

Closing our shelters will reduce chances of adoption and increase the risk of euthanasia. Residents will lose access to services for lost, injured or abandoned pets. Rescue organizations and volunteers will be overwhelmed and city services will be stretched even thinner. 

We urge city leaders, the Budget and Finance Committee and the Mayor to reconsider budget cuts and Keep our Animal Shelters open!!!

Los Angeles can and must do better — for our animals, and for our community.
