Please show up on Monday, Jan 22 at 6:30pm at the Havens Center at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church for the next Montrose TIRZ public meeting where to help us insist on a changed design to save at least SOME of the trees along the sides of Montrose Blvd.

Since they first disclosed at their 9/18 meeting that every single tree on the sides of Montrose will be cut down (57 total), they have made ZERO changes to their plans.  They are refusing to listen to the 7200+ people who have signed this petition, as well as the hundreds who have attended protests and sent emails, and shown up at their meetings to speak against the tree destruction.

How dare this unelected un-accountable board who control millions of taxpayer dollars refuse to listen to this level of citizen outcry?  They claim you all had a chance to weigh in on this project many times over the last few years.   But we know that the large majority of Houstonians and Montrose residents had NO idea this was happening and certainly no notice of how many trees they were planning to kill.

They think we will get tired and go away.  WE WILL NOT.  Please come join us on Monday evening.  Look for people handing out Save Montrose Live Oaks flyers. You can sign up at the entry to speak for up to 3 minutes to share your views or ask questions.  PUBLIC PRESSURE is the only thing that can slow this project and force a changed design.
