Save Missing E!
Tumblr was intended to be an open blogging platform. Missing E is a browser extension that uses an API and client-side script to improve the interface and add/improve features. Many users have found their experience to be many times better because of it. However, Tumblr feels the need to unnecessarily harass the developers for their use of the API, for reasons still mysterious. For this reason, the extension has been scrapped until further notice. Please help show your support for Missng e.

Please note: I have created this petition as a concerned user and I do not in any way represent the opinions of the creators, owners, or affiliates of the Missing e suite of scripts and extensions.
I just signed the following petition addressed to: Tumblr.
Please, in the name of the principles of Tumblr, stop the Harassment of The "Missing E" Extension.
Tumblr was intended to be an open blogging platform. Missing E is a browser extension that uses an API and client-side script to improve the interface and add/improve features. Many users, as attested by this petition, have found their experience to be many times better because of it. However, you feel the need to unnecessarily harass the developer for its use of the API, for reasons still mysterious. For this reason, the extension has been scrapped.
Please be compliant with the wishes of your userbase. Missing e was in no blatant violation of any written rules. Missing e is what the users want. You have more than the two options of forcing the extension out or allowing it to stay. Why can't you buy the ideas off of Missing e? Why can't you hire the developer? Why can't you work with Missing e to keep it within reasonable compliance of the API? Why can't you take on the extension as an official Tumblr extension?
This is not a petition demanding specific action. This is a petition to allow Missing e to continue to exist. I know many have hopes that the staff of Tumblr are considerate of the userbase. Please don't make those hopes false.
