Thank you again to everyone who has supported the “Save MW BASC Service” petition — we have now gathered 337 supporters, a clear sign of how strongly our community feels about protecting this essential service.

I want to share an important update. The Term 4 General Meeting was cancelled without any explanation, so I will be presenting our petition directly to the BASC Committee to ensure your voices are formally heard.

Alongside the petition, I will also be presenting the P&C Federation’s recommendation letter, which advises that “a new survey be taken and a second vote be cast to reconsider the initial decision.” The Federation further states, “I make this recommendation acknowledging that wider consultation has been requested by a significant number of community members, and it is the first object or function of a P&C Association to bring members of the school community into close co-operation.”

These points reinforce exactly what our community has been calling for: transparency, proper consultation, and a fair, inclusive process.
