The Issue

This is a campaign meant to save and reinstate David Lynch Archivist Roland Kermarec’s Facebook Page, ‘Lynchland’ at Facebook.com/Lynchland. It is a David Lynch Archivist Facebook Page, meaning it serves as an archive into all things related to David Lynch. (More about ‘Lynchland’ below.)

A BRIEF HISTORY

‘Lynchland’ was created by Roland Kermarec in November of 2010. On April 5th 2023, ‘Lynchland’ was the most popular page exclusively dedicated to David Lynch’s work, with more than 143,000 followers throughout the world.

Amongst these members are David Lynch’s friends, actors and collaborators, art gallery owners and curators, monograph authors, artists inspired by David Lynch, most of the creators of the other pages dedicated to David Lynch and/or Twin Peaks on Facebook, etc.

Throughout the last thirteen years, about 8,000 “photo posts” (plus reviews, quotes, interviews and various links attached to them) have been shared and dispatched in 130 different photo albums. These 130 albums are undeniably ‘Lynchland’ gems that need to be saved.

With no logical reason whatsoever the page was unpublished by Facebook/Meta on April 5th 2023, and it has been impossible to reach through to Facebook/Meta support to get it republished.
