After months of diligent preparation, LMUCC was just reaccredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)!

NAEYC accreditation indicates that an early childhood education program has met 10 rigorous standards of excellence for curriculum, developmentally appropriate practices, health and safety, program management, and nurturing staff that support development of the whole-child. 

To earn this distinction, LMUCC underwent an intensive self-study and on-site visit, demonstrating adherence to more than 400 research-based criteria. Only 10% of early childhood programs nationwide achieve NAEYC accreditation. In the entire city of Los Angeles, there are only 34 NAEYC accredited early childhood education programs. This is a truly amazing accomplishment that the LMU and neighboring CD11 communities are celebrating!
