Hello all,

It's been a while but I wanted to provide a promising update. I received an email from Caltrans and a phone call this morning. There was a Mobility Partnership (SBCOG and VTA) meeting this morning. They discussed the ongoing project with the 101/25 ramps along with safety concerns for SR25. They did discuss the accident and safety recommendations are listed and also approved. There will be a community engagement in mid June.

Safety measures include:

• Installing concrete median barrier on the Santa Clara side up to the San Benito side of SR25
• Installing dynamic speed feedback signs
• Enhance traffic signs on corridor
• Refresh striping

They will also work on implementing safety measures on other areas of SR25 due to the number of accidents.

At this point I feel we accomplished what we needed to and I will close out the petition. I will still post updates on social media and encourage everyone to participate in the meetings and use your voice.
