In 31 states it is illegal to leave your animal in a stationary vehicle, unintended, and in dangerous conditions. Only 14 of those states have the good samaritan law that allows you to rescue a distressed animal from the vehicle. I want Idaho to add the Good Samaritan law to there law book for the sake of animals and there owners. When your vehicle is in the sun add 20° to what it is outside and that’s what the vehicle can become in 15 minutes. So if it is 80° outside that means a car can be 100° within the 15 minutes of sitting in the sun. Now imagine having a dog sitting in that car would you rescue it? Or call animal rescue that could take 30 minutes to an hour to arrive to rescue the dog that you can’t because of a law that you can get sued for breaking a window to save an animals life. That’s why we need the good Samaritan law in every state of the USA immediately so that people don’t lose their loved pets because they forgot they were in the car, or they were in a rush and didn’t think it through to have their dog in their car. Please sign this petition so that at least Idaho can get this law in their law book.
