Just an update about the request the owners of Lincoln Lanes, Gord and Sandy, made directly to Vernon City's Real Estate Manager to purchase the lanes.
Gord received the email below yesterday.

Hi Gord,
To confirm our telephone conversation, Administration is not supportive of purchasing Lincoln Lanes for a City Recreation Facility. There is a delegation appearing at the next Council Meeting of July 17, 2023 making the same request directly to Council.
Regards,
Brett Bandy, BBA
Real Estate Manager

==========
The decision itself was disappointing, but the lack of any reasons for the decision was shocking.
At the meeting I will ask that the City form a Committee to explore the acquistion of Lincoln Lanes as part of the City's Active Living services and facilities. I am hopeful that the City Council pictured above will not be as dismissive as Mr. Bandy's email appears to be.
Mr. Bandy indicates there will be a delegation at the meeting on the 17th at 1:30 making the same request. I was thinking it would likely be just myself and Gord, but now I am thinking the delegation's presence should be larger. So, if you are available on Monday, July 17th at 1:30, it would be a good time for you to attend a City Council meeting and show your support for this request.
Thanks,
Heather
