Just a short update to let you know that I made a presentation on behalf of the Vernon bowling community at today's City Council Meeting.

I asked that the City form a committee to investigate the opportunity of purchasing Lincoln Lanes to add to the City's Active Living Facilities and Services.  I indicated that the committee should have stakeholders from the bowling community as members, as well as City staff.

I believe I covered all of the important points and I felt heard by the Acting Mayor and Councillors.  Each of them made supporting comments and asked questions for clarification.  

They passed a motion to have the city's administrative staff investigate the opportunity and present the council with a report for the Monday, August 14th council meeting.
