Local businessman Mike Davey, has today agreed to head up a local Community Interest Group to help save the centre from closure. The group will be non-profit making and any surplus funds will be re-invested back into the centre.
For the centre to ultimately survive it will require financial support from Cornwall County Council, but more importantly support from the local community, which has demonstrated a determination and passion for the centre to survive and ultimately flourish.
The immediate plan is to remain open for business as usual during the initial phase, subject to having the resources and manpower to achieve this.
So a massive thank you to everyone who has signed this petition, who have been vocal about the closure and who will no doubt continue to support the centre and its staff.
