Almost to 6,500: What does the future hold?

Sadly, Laguna Beach has had three drownings (plus two near drownings) so far this summer. There was also a medical evacuation yesterday at Alta Laguna Park in the Top of the World Neighborhood. This is a town that 100% needs an acute care hospital and ER to support residents, visitors, commuters, workers--everyone who needs access to timely medical care.  

What does the future hold if the closest ER is miles out of town in often heavily impacted traffic? What will other hospitals do if  Laguna is no longer able to take ambulance traffic, as is being proposed, because it's been turned into an urgent care instead? Area hospitals depend on Providence Mission Laguna Beach to take overflow patients when they're at capacity. 

The Superbowl is coming to LA in 2027. A new harbor is coming to Dana Point. The Summer Olympic Games will be here in 2028. Laguna will be on many bucket lists. We need to be ready. We need an ER.
