Dear Supporters of Save Kongwak - thank you again for signing our petition. The time to act has come. The developers plans and application for planning permit are now live on the Vic Governments website click this link to view the plans.
We need your help now.
If you object to this ridiculous $36 million dollar proposal in our tiny hamlet of Kongwak, please help now. The above map shows just one aspect, of this megalithic project, the sewage management plans for the proposal. As predicted, the neighbouring farm land to the Cheese and Butter Factory will be used as a sewage works, with a live pipe carrying raw sewage crossing the Foster Creek.
Help us stop this crazy level of development in our little market hamlet.
Please send an email noting your objections to:
adam.stark@delwp.vic.gov.au
and copy also
development.approvals@transport.vic.gov.au
The public notice period for the permit is only 2 weeks ! But objections will be considered throughout the approval process until the process closes (unknown future date).
Ideally your objections need to be based in facts or knowledge of local laws so as to have maximum impact. Objections based on the amenity of Kongwak, the impact of population influx, the impact of noise, parking and traffic, the impact of the processing of sewage for 200 people on paddocks that run into Foster Creek, will all bear some weight, even if you don't have knowledge of the applicable laws. Other concerns include 40 cabins positioned on former grazing land and the noise and impact of late night trading and a wedding venue just 40 m from houses. Please continue to watch our social media channels and some of our key arguments will be listed there (and already are). Help save village life, Save Kongwak.
Thanks again for your help.
