Pranab Doley’s Hearing Rescheduled to October 5

Today, October 1, was supposed to be an important day for Pranab Doley. His hearing before the Gauhati High Court was scheduled for today, but the hearing has now been rescheduled to October 5.

Pranab was granted bail by a sessions court in July, but the Assam government subsequently detained him under the National Security Act (NSA). He remains in detention.

As we wait for October 5, we continue to stand with Pranab Doley, his family, and everyone raising their voice for land, livelihoods, indigenous rights, and the protection of Kaziranga.
