This great football club that was once known as the Cup Kings of South Africa, has turned into a mid table team that focuses more on marketing and selling football jerseys, than the reason it came into existence in the first place - football. 

With the help of his children, Dr Kaizer Motaung Snr has managed to turn his own club into a laughing stock. It remains a mystery how a man like Dr Kaizer Motaung would work so hard to build the biggest club in Southern Africa, only to willingly watch it fall apart, like it has in the past couple of years. Kaizer Chiefs has gone from being the most feared football club in South Africa, to a club that all the other PSL clubs can't wait to play against, because they know they will beat it. 

Unfortunately, the people that are suffering from the consequences of the bad football decisions that the Kaizer Chiefs management has continued to make in the past 8 years, are the club's supporters. Every match day, thousands of Kaizer Chiefs supporters will spend their hard earned money to travel to the stadiums and purchase tickets to watch their favourite football club. Those who are not able to go to the stadiums, will spend their hard earned money to pay for DSTV subscriptions in order to watch their favourite football club on TV. Time and time again, Kaizer Chiefs supporters play their part. We support our club in every way possible. We spend our hard earned money to purchase Kaizer Chiefs merchandise. We spend our hard earned money to purchase tickets to go watch Kaizer Chiefs at stadiums. We defend this club with everything we have when other PSL football clubs, coaches and supporters disrespect it. We make sure to fill up almost every stadium that Kaizer Chiefs plays in, but what do we get in return? A slap in the face from the Kaizer Chiefs management. What the Kaizer Chiefs management has been doing to us in the past 8 years, is equivalent to them stabbing us in our hearts, and twisting the knife. We are hurting.

Just 2 years ago, we were beaming with joy when Kaizer Motaung Jnr was announced as the new Sporting Director of the club. We had high expectations of him. He made promises of how he would bring the glory days back. It has been 2 years, and Kaizer Motaung Jnr has not made an effort to do that. In fact, he has led the club to it's 8th year without winning a trophy. In the 2 years that Kaizer Motaung Jnr has been the club's Sporting Director, he has had countless opportunities to sign quality players and assemble a competent technical team for the first team, but has failed dismally.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS PETITION 

Despite 8 years of bad football decisions from the club's management, it is not too late to turn things around, we can still save this sinking ship. But, in order for that to happen, a few changes need to be made. For one, we demand that the club's management start to run this club like the big club that it is. We demand for the management to prioritize football again. We did not start supporting this club because it had beautiful football jerseys, but because it played good football and won trophies. We demand that the club let's go of the following technical team members with immediate effect :

Molefi Ntseki

Arthur Zwane

Dillon Sheppard

Aubrey Mathibe 

These members have all been at the club for more than 1 season. They were apart of the technical team that finished the previous season in 5th position, with 12 losses, zero trophies, and a goal difference of -1. Not only that, but there are a number of players who have regressed under this technical team, including goalkeepers. Not to mention the fact that they have only managed to collect 1/9 points this season, so far. Most of our academy players have not been able to grow as they should, because they are constantly being pumped into a first team that does not have a technical team that is capable of helping them improve their game. It is clear that the current technical team is not capable of bringing the glory days back. We demand that the club hires a competent technical team that will take this club back to where it belongs - at the top. Lastly, we demand that the club signs quality players to compliment the new technical team. 

CONCLUSION

We love Kaizer Chiefs Football club with all of our beings. We cannot just sit back and watch it fall apart right in front of our eyes. Please sign this petition, let's save Kaizer Chiefs before it is too late.
