Jerusalem Arch is scheduled for imminent demolition by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council due to concerns for users safety following a report by structural engineers. There sadly has been no public consultation of these plans and apparently no consideration paid to the significance of the bridge to Whitchurch residents. 
This petition requests BDBC to suspend demolition plans until such time that a second opinion can be sought and considered and that BDBC work with the people of Whitchurch and the town council to fully consider any other options that may preserve this much loved, unique hidden landmark in the centre of Whitchurch.
